In our post from yesterday “Munich Mosque Plans Suspended Over Ties To German Muslim Brotherhood”, we made the following statement:

“One of the other defendants in the case is Oguz ÜCÜNCÜ, the General-Secretary of Milli Gorus in Germany and a business partner of Mr. El-Zayat who is married to the sister of an IGMG leader.”

It is more accurately reported as:

“One of the other defendants in the case is Oguz ÜCÜNCÜ, the General-Secretary of Milli Gorus in Germany and a business partner of Mr. El-Zayat who is married to the sister of Mehmet Sabri Erbakan who is in turn the nephew of Necmettin Erbakan, the leader of Turkish Milli Görüs.” Mehmet Sabri Erbakan no longer appears active in Milli Görüs.”

Amazing that Ibrahim Munir can sit around in London raising money for the International MB for years, and the Brits couldn’t get him on anything. It wasn’t until he funneled money back to Egypt that he faced any legal consequences. Wow.

Initial news reports identified "famous Saudi preacher Dr. Aaidh al-Qarni" as the Saudi member of an alleged Muslim Brotherhood money-laundering ring discussed in a recent post. According to the Associated Press, Egyptian prosecutors have now acknowledged an error and corrected the name to Awadh al-Qarani, said to have taught at a Saudi university and currently a business man.
